The Role Reporting directly to the Finance and Commercial Manager , this role is central to ensuring projects are set up for success. You’ll support all aspects of finance, cost control, and operations — with a strong focus on timely billing, accurate job costing, and proactive reporting. You’ll work closely with clients, project leaders, and internal stakeholders to ensure costs are correctly allocated, budgets are tracked, variances are understood, and job owners have the insights they need to deliver on plan. This is a role where your attention to detail, customer‑focused mindset, and drive for accuracy will make a real impact. Key Responsibilities: Set up and close jobs promptly and accurately • Allocate costs to jobs/work orders, including consumables and overheads • Record job budgets and analyse variances between actuals and plan • Process and clear commitments in a timely manner • Deliver internal job cost reporting to Job/Contract Owners • Support understanding and reconciliation of WIP and labour recovery accounts • Partner with Job Managers/Site Coordinators on budgets and costing • Manage cost oversight of outsourced services • Support the Manager Finance with day‑to‑day functions About you: You will thrive in this role if you are detail‑oriented, deadline‑driven, and confident communicating with a wide range of stakeholders. You enjoy working both independently and as part of a small, high‑performing team. You will bring: • A technical or accounting qualification, or related experience • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in engineering, construction, or project environments • Strong Excel skills and competency across the Microsoft Office suite • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Experience with MYOB Greentree, Fieldglass, and/or TOKN (desirable) What We Offer: A dynamic, inclusive and supportive team, with opportunities to grow within the business.
